Debra Lieberman
Dr. Debra Lieberman is an associate professor and assistant chair of Academic Affairs & Research in the Department of Psychology at the University of Miami. Dr. Lieberman earned her PhD at the University of California, Santa Barbara, at the Center for Evolutionary Psychology. Her research examines how evolution has shaped the social mind. Dr. Lieberman has published on a range of phenomena including kinship, cooperation, sexuality, disgust, morality, and, gratitude. She is co-author of the 2018 book, Objection: Disgust, Morality and the Law published by Oxford University Press. She currently serves as editor-in-chief for Evolution and Human Behavior, the flagship journal of the Human Behavior and Evolution Society.
